Summoner's War: Wind Bearman Rune Choice Theory Crafting

Let's start out with looking at the base stats of this monster:

This monster has some decent stats.  He has a higher hp than several other starters at 3*, but at the cost of atk and def.  Let us take a look at his skills:

1. Attack with a 50% chance to inflict provoke.
2. Buff entire team with increased attack power for two turns.
(Awakened) 3. Attack entire enemy team and remove 30% of attack bar from mean,

From a look at his skills, and then a look at his monster type, I would think this monster belongs more in the Support or HP category, not in the Atk category, and as such I will treat this monster like it should be.

I think this monster deserves a full set of Energy (+hp) runes.  the variable rune slots should look as follows:

2: spd
4: hp%
6: hp%

The way I see it, this monster's purpose is to stay in the fight for as long as possible.  His #1 attack helps draw attention to himself, while his #2 skill greatly increases the damage the team does over
two turns.  The spd rune is so that he can actively attack more often and have the chance to use his #2 skill more often.
